PREREQUISITES¶
Current build environment¶
All three projects target ESP32-S3 and record CONFIG_IDF_INIT_VERSION="6.0.0"; CI pins ESP-IDF v6.0. Component directories, CMake files, dependency locks and sdkconfig define the build. Activate the matching toolchain before building a selected project.
AI tensors and training workspaces require sufficient heap. Check PSRAM settings against the actual board. Begin Math/DSP testing with small inputs. Hardware pictures illustrate development platforms rather than verified board compatibility.
Original environment and dependency notes¶
The earlier hardware and component acquisition notes below remain for reference. Copied components do not remove every configuration or version constraint; current build files remain authoritative.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS¶
ESP32 development board, please refer to the following projects for details:
-
NexNode
We will build upon the code in this project for further development.
DEPENDENCY COMPONENTS¶
To enhance the computational efficiency of our framework, we first introduce the ESP-DSP library and ESP-DL library, which provide efficient implementations for digital signal processing and deep learning respectively.
Tip
Note that these two libraries seem to be developed by different teams, so many of their functions overlap.
We can find and download these components from the ESP-REGISTRY into our project. In this project, I moved the downloaded components and their dependencies into the middleware folder and removed the configuration files to avoid version locking and network dependencies.
